Introduction

The Education Trust: Child of Philanthropy

This trust was founded in1963, when a great woman Philanthropist Shrimati Narsamma Hirayya Mannerwar, decided to donate 12.5 acre of her prime land to be used for the educational purposes. However due to certain legal matters, it took nearly 23 years for the trust to reclaim the land through a Supreme Court order in 1986. So in a way the journey that started only 24 years ago had actually covered quite a long and wide educational landscape: a Pre-primary and Primary School, Higher Secondary School (Junior College), U.G. College with multiple courses, 03 P. G. courses and 05 Research Centres.

Shrimati Narsamma Hirayya Mannewar had great faith in the people working in the society, inspired by the ideology of ‘Sanskritik Rasthrawad’. So she approached the people in whom she could place her trust for the betterment of the future generations. The trust was formed of those who share the same qualities of selflessness, honesty and a vision to develop the society into better educated, self-reliant and stronger India. The trust initially had the following members:
